The rules for using The016 Magazine’s website and services.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of The016 Magazine’s website, digital and print magazine purchases, event submissions, business directory listings, and advertising services (together, the "Services"). By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, whether by email/password or through a third-party sign-in (such as Google). You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
2. Purchases & Payments
Digital and printed magazine issues, and advertising bookings, are sold at the prices shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Yoco. Physical orders are shipped within South Africa only. Digital access is granted immediately once payment is confirmed; printed copies are dispatched based on the delivery details you provide at checkout.
3. Content You Submit
Reviews, event submissions, story tips, and business directory listings you submit must be accurate and lawful. We may edit, decline, or remove any submitted content at our discretion, including reviews that violate common decency or contain false claims. By submitting content, you grant The016 Magazine a non-exclusive licence to publish and display it on our platforms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services - this includes attempting to access accounts that aren’t yours, submitting false purchase or review claims, or using the site in a way that disrupts other readers, advertisers, or the platform itself.
5. Intellectual Property
All magazine content, articles, photography, and branding on this site belong to The016 Magazine or its contributors and may not be reproduced without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of content you’ve purchased.
6. Advertising & Business Listings
Advertising bookings and business directory listings are subject to review and may be declined or removed if they contain misleading claims or unlawful content. Advertising rates and packages are as published on our Advertise page at the time of booking.
7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is". We do our best to keep information accurate and the platform available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access and aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Services. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
